Calibrachoa Superbells are easy to grow. Superbells Calibrachoa is more heat resistant than most of the Calibrachoas. You can expect hummingbirds to visit your garden when you plant Calibrachoa because they love the large trumpet shaped flowers and it’s good nectar source. The Calibrachoa Superbells ® Red, 'Calibrachoa hybrids', is a fantastic annual hybrid from Proven Winners. Superbells are self cleaning, you do not have to pinch off spent flowers. It can take the heat of hot southern summers making it a good replacement for petunias, and they can be perennial in zones 7 and warmer. Calibrachoa are popular for hanging baskets because of their cascading habit. Calibrachoa is very similar to a minature Petunia. Petunia - Tidal Wave Silver The Tidal Wave Silver Petunia, 'Petunia x hybrida hedgiflora', has a growth habit based on how closely the plants are spaced in the garden. Place the plants close together and they will get taller. When spaced a minimum of 12 inches apart, it forms a dense, mounded hedge from 16 to 22 inches tall. Grown in restricted space with support, it will grow an extra 2 to 3 feet upward, like a vine. 5 to 3 feet. The Tidal Wave petunia was a University of Georgia 1999 Gold Medal Winner. Tidal Wave petunias require no pinching or pruning. The flowers are silvery white to very light lavender with dark purple veins. It also was a Fleuroselect Quality Mark Winner 2003 at the Colorado State University "Best of Show" variety.
