Datura - Angels Trumpet
The flowers last only a day or two, but blooms appear from mid summer to late fall. Plant in the spring, 1 to 2 weeks before the last frost. The Angel's Trumpet Datura requires full sun and prefers well drained soils. The flowers are 6 inches long, trumpet-shaped and white in color, tinged with lilac. The pale blooms will glow well into the twilight and their scent is heavenly. Note: All parts of this plant are poisonous. If your time only allows you to enjoy an evening garden, then the Datua is the plant. Water regularly, but do not over water.
